Meet the team

Who we are

Mark Buckler, Director

Mark was born in Ashby de la Zouch and joined his father’s accountancy practice after qualifying with what’s now known as PwC. He specialises in farming and inheritance issues and enjoys being able to offer support and guidance to his clients. Mark spends a lot of time with the Ashby Christadelphians and has lectured in North America and South Africa as part of his role as a lay preacher. In his spare time, you’ll find him having fun with his family, his six grandchildren in particular.

Terry Spencer, Director

Terry’s always had an interest and a passion for numbers. It’s the reason he decided accountancy would be a good career path for him. He qualified after working within a local firm of accountants based in Ashby, and enjoys numbers now as much as he did then. Terry loves French food. When he’s not dining out, he’ enjoys most sports (except golf), especially cheering on his football team, who he’s supported for his whole life. If you ask him which team that is, he may even tell you.

Richard Spencer, Director

Richard qualified as an accountant in 1997, with his father being a key factor in his decision to become an accountant. Born in Ashby, he’s a local lad but judging from his favourite foods, Italian and Indian, you’d think not. However, in his own words, ‘any tasty, well-presented food’ is his favourite. Richard enjoys being able to support businesses and, ultimately, take the pressure off business owners as much as possible. When he’s not doing that, he’s with his family, walking his two dogs.

David Bezant, Director

Born in Sutton Coldfield, our resident auditor achieved his ACCA qualification in 2012 and hasn’t looked back since. David loves the variety and interaction his role allows him, with preparing accounts, discussing outstanding issues and filing accounts among his tasks. Being able to meet new people from every business sector and walk of life is one of his main passions. When he’s not number-crunching, you’ll find David on the golf green or tennis court, raring to go and positively competitive.
