Tax payments

Tax payments, as you are probably (and hopefully!) aware, are due at the end of this month. With this in mind, we thought we'd let you know that the HMRC no longer accept payments made at the Post Office or by credit card.

The reason for this change is based on a contract with Santander allowing these methods, has come to an end and not been renewed.

Despite not being able to use the Post Office, payments can still be made at bank branches, using a payslip.

Payments for self-assessment income tax can be posted directly to the HMRC.

As of 13 January 2018, payment made on a personal credit card will no longer be accepted.

So, if you're planning on a tax payment this month, please bear this in mind and make provisions to prevent the late payment.
